This week, we published the Transaction Monitor Insurance market H2-2025, in which we observe that the Dutch insurance market has reached a new level of maturity.

Where private equity has been a key driver of consolidation in recent years, we are increasingly seeing international strategic parties take over the baton. At the same time, we observe that the buyer landscape is evolving. This raises the question of when the current momentum will shift toward a cooling market, something already clearly visible in the United Kingdom.

For many entrepreneurs, particularly those approaching a next phase in life, this leads to an important strategic question: continue, invest further, or sell? Especially where growth through acquisitions remains a priority and obligations are being taken on, it is essential to carefully balance risk, return, and future valuation.
