This week, we published the 2024 Transaction Monitor for the Accountancy and Administration Market, in which we provide insight into acquisition activity within the accountancy sector and its implications for the industry as a whole.

In the Transaction Monitor, we discuss how the acquisition market for these firms has entered a new phase. The number of active buyers has increased significantly, driven in part by the professionalisation and internationalisation of the market. As a result, there is now unprecedented competition on the buy side. Whereas previously only a limited number of parties were active, today multiple well-funded players are operating simultaneously — from private equity-driven platforms to independent buyers, both national and international.
