Interview with Blömer: ‘The art of growing without losing yourself’

In an accounting market that is consolidating at a rapid pace, Blömer deliberately chooses its own path. With approximately 140 employees, a single Dutch office soon relocating to Utrecht, and an international hub in South Africa, Blömer demonstrates that being mid-sized is not a steppingstone, but a destination. “We are large enough to invest and professionalize, yet small enough to remain personal,” says Frank Verleg. “And it is precisely that balance that makes us relevant.”

From its central Dutch location, the firm serves a broad client base, while its Pretoria office strengthens its international character. According to Verleg, this combination is no coincidence. “Local presence and international capabilities are not mutually exclusive. They complement each other, provided you make clear, strategic choices.”
